About
Shawnda Jameson
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health and a Bachelors in Behavioral Science. I began working in mental health in 2014 as a Behavioral Rehab Specialist, teaching skills to individuals that help them manage the symptoms that often come along with anxiety and depression. I spent several years working in substance abuse and addressing issues that can be related to addictive behaviors such as trauma, isolation, shame, guilt and relational difficulties. I understand that stepping out and asking for help can be difficult, so I strive to make the process as comfortable as possible. I believe that counseling is not one size fits all but instead should always be centered on the needs of the individual.
